Playwrights

The Hangar Theatre welcomes script submissions to our Mainstage season as well as our Wedge Series and our Hangar Pilot Reading Series. We look for well-constructed plays that celebrate the generosity of human spirit, speak to our diverse community, and advance the American theatre.  We place no limit on the number of cast members required.  To get a better sense of the types of plays we produce please look at our Pilot Series link as well as our link to The Wedge under “Performances and Events”.

To submit your material:

If you have an agent, either you or your agent can mail a hard copy of the full play (and demo cd for musicals), with the submission form attached (which can be found and downloaded here) to the following address:

**You must include the cover page with the script.

If you would like the play back, you must include a SASE.
Materials sent without a return envelope with sufficient postage will be recycled.  We respond to full submissions within 6 months.  We accept unsolicited submissions from September 15 – March 15th, on a rolling basis.
