Join the Hangar Theatre for the Pulitzer Prize-winning
Romantic Comedy Talley’s Folly
Ithaca, NY – Closing its 2015 Mainstage Season, the Hangar Theatre presents Lanford Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning romantic comedy Talley’s Folly. Directed by the Hangar’s artistic director Jen Waldman, Talley’s Folly will run from July 30 until August 8, 2014. Join the cast, crew, and Hangar staff on opening night, Friday, July 31 at 8pm at the Hangar Theatre, located at 801 Taughannock Blvd, Ithaca, NY 14850 in Cass Park.

Matt Friedman (Jonas Cohen) has
decided to once and for all declare his love for Sally Talley (Laurel Casillo) and to ask her hand in
marriage. Sally struggles with the idea of the two living a life together, but
as their time together progresses, it is clear that they have truly found the
Laurel Casillo and Jonas Cohen are both making their acting debut with the Hangar Theatre in Talley’s Folly. Casillo has performed regionally and in New York City including the Broadway production of Act One at the Lincoln Center Theatre. Cohen has most recently performed at the Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany where he played Cosme McMoon in Souvenir, and will be seen in the upcoming independent film Forgetting Sandy Glass.

Laurel Casillo (Sally Talley) New York credits include the Broadway production of Act One (Lincoln Center Theatre), Bryan and Kim, The Custodian, Don’t Step on the Cracks (NY Fringe Festival), In Naked Time (The Beckett), The Kitchen Plays (HB Playwrights Theatre), What a Life (Center Stage). Regional credits include the world premiere of Elevada at Yale Repertory Theatre, The Rainmaker (Good Theater), Miracle on South Division Street, The Diary of Anne Frank, A Shayna Maidel (Chenango River Theater), Black Comedy (Shadowland Theater). Jen Waldman (Director) This is Jen’s second season with the Hangar Theatre, where she has directed this season’s Spring Awakening and last season's Little Shop of Horrors and Red. She is the founder of the Jen Waldman Studio NYC, Co-Artistic Director of Breaking Bread Theatre, and is currently serving as the Theatre Chair for the National Young Arts Foundation. Jen’s direction/choreography credits include: My Fair Lady, Man of La Mancha, Show Boat, Jekyll & Hyde, and Titanic at Merry Go Round playhouse; The 39 Steps at the George Street Playhouse; Some Enchanted Evening and No Way to Treat a Lady at the Cape Playhouse; Fully Committed at the Depot Theatre; Zanna Don’t at the York Theatre; Any Dream Will Do at Wanderlust Theatre Company. Performance credits include: Broadway - Wicked and Titanic (also national tours); Off Broadway - Heat Lightning, Dreams This Way, and John and Paul; Regional - Westport Country Playhouse, Bay Street Theatre, Pioneer Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, Weston Playhouse, and more.
