Past, Present, Future:
The Hangar Theatre is excited to embark on a new holiday tradition this December. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is a classic story that celebrates the importance of charity and explores the concept of time. This #GivingTuesday, we share some inspiring Past and Present stories from Hangar supporters and invite you to be part of our Future story:
Hangar Past and Present
“I give to the Hangar because the Hangar has given me and my community so much. From my experiences as a student of the education programs all the way through to serving as Board president and watching my children find the joy of theatre in their Hangar experiences. It doesn't hurt that I met and married my wife there, too!”
Jamie Wells, Hangar Theatre Board of Trustees President
“Hangar Theatre productions greatly enrich and inspire our Ithaca community with outstanding performances by both local and outside artists and top-notch onstage training for children. Michael Barakiva has brought a renewed sense of diversity and theatrical excellence to the Hangar. It is always a gift to me to see and participate in the Hangar's message of life, music and song.Thank you, Hangar Theatre!”
Sally Ramirez, Hangar Theatre Artist
“Hangar Theatre taught me a lot about myself that I didn't know before. Trying new things can be tough. But you can do whatever you put your mind to. I also loved that we wrote our play ourselves. We had to make some changes as a group, but after that it was even better than before!” - Fina,Trumansburg P4 participant
